Pork Chops Baked in Sour Cream

Perfect pork chops you can cut with a fork

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Pork loin chops 1/2-1" thick
  • Seasoned flour or bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 tsp Summer or winter savory
  • Ground cloves (optional but advised)
  • 3 tbsp Cooking oil or lard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Combine water, bay leaf, vinegar, sugar, sour cream and savory into a pot and warm until ingredients are fluid and mixed well. Set aside.
  • Lightly dust pork chops with ground cloves on one side. Not too heavy on the dusting, you don't want to overpower the chop with this flavor.
  • Dredge pork chops in seasoned flour or bread crumbs.
  • Lightly brown pork chops in fat/lard.
  • Place browned pork chops in baking dish.
  • Pour the warmed water/sour cream mixture in baking dish.
  • Bake covered for one hour
